He made his debut with Atlético Nacional of Colombia in 2010. Four years later he arrived at Rayados, where he quickly demonstrated his quality and talent.

In the Clausura 2016 he left for Pachuca and returned to Monterrey in the Apertura 2017.

He is one of the regular players of the Colombian National Team and has played in qualifying matches and the Copa America.

With Monterrey, he has won the Liga MX, Copa MX and CONCACAF Champions League.
