"Titán" began his career with Real Salt Lake in MLS in 2013 and joined Chivas de Guadalajara in 2015, where he played 60 matches and won the Copa MX and Supercopa MX titles.
The Mexican defender then moved to Europe, playing for Fiorentina in Italy and Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany. With Eintracht Frankfurt, he made 26 Bundesliga appearances and played 6 matches in the German Cup, winning the German Cup title.
After his time in Europe, he played for Club Tigres, Toronto FC in MLS, FC Juárez, and Cruz Azul, winning multiple championships.
Carlos has represented the Mexican National Team in 48 matches, including 4 World Cup games, 11 in the Gold Cup, 6 in World Cup Qualifiers, 3 in the CONCACAF Nations League, 2 in the Confederations Cup, 1 in the Copa América, and 21 international friendlies.
