The Mexican defender arrives at Monterrey to compete in the Clausura and Apertura 2025 tournaments, the CONCACAF Champions Cup, the 2025 Leagues Cup, and the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in its new format.
Luis came through the Atlas youth academy, making his First Division debut in 2016. He played 183 matches in Liga BBVA MX, 10 in Copa MX, 6 in Leagues Cup, and 5 in Campeón de Campeones with the team.
He also played for clubs like América and Atlético de San Luis.
A year later, he returned to Atlas and, six months after his return, became a key player in the team that won back-to-back Liga BBVA MX championships in the 2021-2022 season.
"Hueso," as he is nicknamed, has played 9 matches with the Mexican National Team, including 2 Confederations Cup matches, where Mexico finished in fourth place, 2 Gold Cup matches, earning third place in the competition, and 2 World Cup Qualifier matches for the 2018 Russia World Cup.
