The 24-year-old Mexican forward began his soccer career in the youth academy of Club de Futbol Monterrey and made his First Team debut with Rayados in the Apertura 2018 tournament.
"Plátano" played in the U-17, U-19, U-20, and Raya2 Expansión categories, winning championships at the U-17 and U-20 levels, as well as earning the U-20 Golden Boot.
During his time with Rayados, he was part of the squad that won the 2019-2020 Copa MX and the 2021 CONCACAF Champions Cup.
Seeking more playing time to grow as a footballer, Alfonso joined Club León for the Apertura 2022 tournament. With León, he won the 2023 CONCACAF Champions Cup and participated in the FIFA Club World Cup Saudi Arabia 2023, where he faced Urawa Red Diamonds—Rayados’ upcoming opponent in the newly formatted 2025 Club World Cup.
Now, he's back with Monterrey, with more experience and ready to be a historic Rayados player.
