RAYADOS BEAT PUMAS WITH AUTHORITY AT C.U.

Rayados de Monterrey defeated Pumas de la UNAM 3-1 at the Estadio Olimpico Universitario in Mexico City, in a match corresponding to martch day 12 of the Clausura 2025 Tournament.
The Regio team looked for the felines' goal from the start, and the goals came in the second half.
At 18', Oliver Torres set up German Berterame, who entered the area diagonally and shot across the box, but the ball crashed against the post! On the rebound, Lucas Ocampos shot from point-blank range and hit the ball into an opponent.
Minutes later, Sergio Canales connected with a sweeping shot and goalkeeper Alex Padilla managed to keep the ball.
In minute 31, Rogelio Funes Mori tried to shoot, but Stefan Medina robbed him of the ball inside the area.
Rayados mounted a counterattack at 43' through Sergio Canales, who reached the corner of the box and sent a dangerous cross to Gerardo Arteaga, but the goalkeeper cut it out. Close!
At minute 46, in the first play of the second half, Angel Azuaje fouled German Berterame inside the area, and the referee awarded Rayados the penalty kick.
