With her leadership, talent and dedication, Rebeca Bernal has left an indelible mark on the history of Rayadas de Monterrey and the Liga BBVA MX Femenil.
The “Capi” has been a key player in the success of Rayadas, a team with which she won four league championships, the first back to back league championships won by a Club de Futbol Monterrey team, call-ups to the Mexican national team and many valuable stories that will remain in the memory of the Blue and White fans.
With 283 official matches, Rebeca set the record for the most matches played in the history of Rayadas. In addition, her offensive ability has made her the top scoring defender in the history of the Liga BBVA MX Femenil, with 70 goals.
Her impact on the Club goes beyond individual numbers, as she is the first person, both male and female, to win four league titles with Monterrey, doing so as captain and demonstrating her leadership on and off the field.
Bernal has been a pillar of the Monterrey defense, playing 1,530 minutes in two tournaments, all possible in the Regular Phase (Clausura 2018 and Apertura 2021).
In the 2021 Apertura tournament, she not only played the entire regular season, but also played every minute of the playoffs, reaching 2,070 minutes.
Collective success has also accompanied her career, as she has been part of six general leaderships in the team's history, most notably in the 2019 Apertura tournament, when Rayadas achieved the record for most points in a Regular Phase, with 48.
In Classic Regio matches, Rebe has proven to be a fundamental piece for Monterrey.
With 9 goals in the Monterrey derby, she is the second top scorer in this historic rivalry. In addition, she is the Rayadas player with the most games played in the Clásico, with 38, all of them as captain, which is also a record.
Rebeca Bernal's legacy with Rayadas transcends statistics. Her leadership, commitment and talent have made her a benchmark for the Club and for women's soccer in Mexico, leaving a legacy that will be remembered forever.
Thank you, Rebeca! We are sure that this is not goodbye, but rather see you soon.
Once Rayada, always Rayada!
