Rayados continue on their way to the World Cup!

On Tuesday, FIFA made the draw for the Club World Cup 2025, in which the 32 teams were divided into 8 groups of 4 teams each.

Monterrey will face Inter Milan, from Italy; River Plate, from Argentina; and Urawa Red Diamonds, from Japan, in Group E.

Prior to the draw, Jose Antonio Noriega, Rayados' sports president, spoke about what it means for the Institution and for the Fans to participate in the most important tournament in the world at club level.

"To be present in the first Club World Cup in history with 32 teams is a source of pride and a responsibility. We must take it seriously and make sure that the name of Club de Futbol Monterrey is heard and seen in a very positive light," said "Tato" Noriega.

The event began with a message from FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who inaugurated the road to the 2025 Club World Cup.

After giving the corresponding explanations about the draw process, the hosts began to select the teams from the groups.

Brazilian model Adriana Lima selected the teams in Pot 3, where Monterrey was placed.

Rayados was the fifth team selected from its pot, and was placed in Group E, and will face Inter Milan, River Plate and Urawa Red Diamonds.

Monterrey will now await the venues, dates and times of the matches, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
