RAYADOS WINS CLÁSICO REGIO AND UNLEASHES MADNESS IN THE BBVA!

The fans were thrilled with the goals and Monterrey's victory!

The Rayados defeated Tigres 4-2 this Saturday in the Classic Regio game 139 played at the Estadio BBVA as part of Matchday 12 of the Apertura 2024 Tournament.

More than 51,000 fans were thrilled with the high quality goals they witnessed at the Casa Rayada.

Rayados started the match pushing and took the lead in the first few minutes with a goal by youth player Iker Fimbres, who then scored twice in the second half to become the player of the match with his brace.

Sergio Canales and Lucas Ocampos showed their class and quality to score the other two goals.

Iker Fimbres finished off a ball that hit the post after German Berterame's shot to open the scoring in the Classic Regio Game.

This was the first goal in the First Division for the youngster, who came out of Monterrey's youth academy and has seven appearances for Rayados.

Monterrey came close to scoring the second goal of the match at minute 14, after a cross from Lucas Ocampos that German Berterame failed to finish.

Sergio Canales took a free kick from the right flank, with which he beat Nahuel Guzman. Great goal!

At minute 30, Nahuel Guzman fouled Lucas Ocampos and the referee awarded a penalty kick to Monterrey.

With serenity and his eyes on the opposite side of his shot, Lucas Ocampos took the penalty kick, scored the third goal for the Rayados and made the fans' euphoria explode.

Guido Pizarro scored the visitors' consolation goal after a prefabricated play on a free kick.

In stoppage time, after reviewing a play on the VAR, the referee signaled a penalty kick for Tigres for a handball inside the area by Fidel Ambriz.

In the second half, Martin Demichelis' men did not let up, and a masterpiece by Iker Fimbres sealed the victory for the albiazul side.

At the start of the second half, Erick Aguirre and Iker Fimbres made a great play, which ended in a shot from half distance by Sergio Canales that went over the goal.

Esteban Andrada was present on a couple of occasions, saving shots from the feline team. Great, "Sabandija"!

Iker Fimbres took a powerful shot, which slipped into the upper right-hand corner of the goal to sign his brace in the Classic Regio game and once again unleash the euphoria of the fans. What a goal, Iker!

Afterwards, Rayados held firm, sought to increase the score and keep possession of the ball, which resulted in the victory and the fans' jubilation.

With this result, Monterrey is in fourth place in the general standings and will continue to look to move up the standings for the playoffs.

Next Wednesday 23rd at 7:00 p.m., Rayados will host Pumas UNAM in the Matchday 13 at Estadio BBVA.
