RAYADOS WILL LOOK FOR A TURNAROUND AND A PLACE IN THE FINAL IN THE SECOND LEG OF THE FINAL

 Rayados will go all in in the second leg!

 

Monterrey lost 1-0 to Cruz Azul in the first leg of the Semifinal of the Clausura 2024.

After this result, Rayados must win the second leg by two goals or more to qualify for the BBVA MX League Final.

With the support of 51,708 fans at the Estadio BBVA, the Monterrey team started the match pushing and looking for the opponent's goal, however, Cruz Azul managed to surprise in the first half by scoring with a shot from outside the area.

At 18', Jesus Gallardo had the first dangerous action for Monterrey, with a powerful shot from the right flank that went over the goal.

Cruz Azul responded minutes later through Lorenzo Faravelli, who fired a low shot from outside the box that went just wide.

Luis Romo came close to opening the scoring in the 31st minute with a great shot, but goalkeeper Kevin Mier saved Monterrey's goal.
