RAYADOS IS IN THE SEMIFINAL!

With the boost and joy of the fans, Rayados are now in the Semifinal!

Rayados drew 1-1 with Tigres in the second leg of the Quarter Final, and with a 3-2 aggregate score advanced to the Final of the Clausura 2024 Tournament.

Monterrey started the match at the Estadio BBVA with intensity and had most of the dangerous plays. Although the visitors opened the scoring, the albiazul team insisted and equalized in the second half.

Stefan Medina had the first dangerous play of the match at minute 6, with a shot from the right corner of the box that hit the outside of the goal.

Esteban Andrada made a save after a shot by Juan Brunetta at minute 11.

Juan Brunetta took a corner kick and, after a series of rebounds, Andre-pierre Gignac shot with his right foot to score the visitors' goal.

Jorge “Corcho” Rodriguez took an inside corner kick at minute 38, which came close to being an Olympic goal, but after the goalkeeper's rebound, the ball ended up in the corner kick.

German Berterame took a half-volley from Brandon Vazquez's cross in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the opponent's goal.

In the second half, the Rayados sought to tie the match, and a goal by Jordi Cortizo gave them the favorable result.

At the start of the second half, Maxi Meza came close to equalizing with a powerful shot from outside the area that went just past the post.

Luis Romo headed a cross from Sergio Canales at minute 57, but the ball hit the post and ended up as a goal kick.

After a play in which Maxi Meza almost scored, the action continued and, with a powerful shot from outside the area, Sergio Canales smashed the ball against the post. On the rebound, Jordi Cortizo finished off the rebound and scored the equalizer for Monterrey. Good one, Jordi!

Rayados remained strong, looking for the opponent's goal and pressing high to maintain the result and the overall advantage that finally gave them the pass to the Semifinal.

In the final stretch of the match, Esteban Andrada made an excellent two-time save to keep out Juan Brunetta's goal. Great, “Sabandija”!

With this result, Rayados advances to its 22nd Semifinal, becoming the fourth team with the most Semifinal stages in the history of the Liga BBVA MX, only behind America (42), Cruz Azul (23) and Toluca (23).

Come on, Rayados, together as one in the Semifinal!
