Rayados de Monterrey will host Cincinnati FC this Thursday, March 14, at 8:15 p.m. for the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16.

In the first leg, Rayados defeated Cincinnati 1-0 at TQL Stadium, with a goal by Brandon Vazquez.

Rayados will now look to extend their aggregate advantage at Casa Rayada and advance to the Quarterfinals.

Monterrey has now gone 14 games unbeaten in CONCACAF competitions (Champions League and Champions Cup).

The last time the regio team lost in a confederation tournament was on March 13, 2019, when it lost 1-0 to Atlanta United in the second leg of the Quarterfinals at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, although it advanced to the Semifinal with a 3-1 aggregate and, in the end, Monterrey won its fourth CONCACAF title.

In the current tournament, the team coached by Fernando Ortiz is in second place among the teams with the most goals in the tournament with 8 goals, tied with the New England Revolution, Club Tigres and Orlando City, teams that have already played the second leg of the Round of 16.

Maxi Meza is the second with more assists in the competition with 2 , tied with Giacomo Vrioni (New England Revolution), Orlando Galo (Herediano SC) and Daniel Gazdag (Philadelphiha Union) and only behind Bret Haslet (Cincinnati FC) who has 3 assists.
