The first blow in the Round of 16 came from Rayados.
Monterrey defeated Cincinnati FC 1-0 in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16 at TQL Stadium on Thursday.
A goal by Brandon Vazquez against his former team and a great night by Esteban Andrada gave the team from Monterrey the advantage in the series of the international tournament.
Esteban Andrada made a great save at minute 16 to deflect Luciano Acosta's shot.
Eric Bird sent the ball into the back of Esteban Andrada's goal, but the Cincinnati player was in an offside position.

Maxi Meza sent a through ball to Brandon Vazquez, who scored against his former team to open the scoring.
In the second half, Rayados sought to extend their lead, although the expulsion of Rodrigo Aguirre complicated their actions, but they still managed to win.
