Rayados del Monterrey continue to strengthen their squad and have signed Tony Leone as a new player, with a contract until December 2026.
The young Mexican-American defender began his soccer career in the youth academy of Los Angeles FC, MLS team.
In 2021, Tony was loaned to Las Vegas Lights, a club in the USL Championship, the second division of U.S. soccer, where he played 43 games.
He returned to Los Angeles in 2023 to play for LAFC 2 in MLS Next Pro.
Being born in the United States, but also having Mexican nationality, the 19-year-old player has been called to participate in the youth categories of both national teams.
Tony has been part of the U-15 and U-17 categories of the United States.
With the Mexican U-20 National Team, and under the direction of Luis Pérez, he won the Revelations Cup 2021.
In 2022, he won the CONCACAF U-20 Championship with the National Team, and was included in the "Best XI" of the competition.
In 2023, he was called up to the Mexican U-23 National Team, a team that won the Bronze Medal at the Pan American and Caribbean Games Valparaíso 2023.
