Rayados got their first win of the tournament, after defeating Puebla 2-0 in Week 1 of the Clausura 2024.

Monterrey started with intensity, looking to open the scoreboard with dangerous plays, but it was not until the second half that they managed to score.

In the first dangerous play of the match, Esteban Andrada made a great save to deny Gustavo Ferrareis' shot.

At minute 13, Jordi Cortizo sent a cross pass to Maxi Meza, who controlled with his chest and shot with his left foot, but the ball went just wide of the opponent's goal.

Germán Berterame shot with force just wide of Pueblas’ goalkeeper Jesús Rodríguez's goal at minute 35.

In the second half, the team led by Fernando Ortíz sought the win, and succeeded in doing so through Alfonso González.

At minute 48, Germán Berterame took a dove to connect with a difficult cross and the ball hit the post!

Erick Aguirre sent in a cross that Alfonso González connected with a header with his back to make a bell-like shot. Amazing goal!

At minute 69, after a series of rebounds inside the box, Germán Berterame again came close to scoring. However, the ball ended up in the goalkeeper's hands.

Esteban Andrada was the hero once again at minute 80 when he denied Miguel Sansores' header.

After fighting the whole match, Germán Berterame got his goal. On a counterattack, he received the ball and shot past goalkeeper Jesús Rodríguez.

With this result, the Rayados start the Torneo Clausura 2024 on the right foot.
