After finishing in second place in the overall standings with 33 points, Monterrey will face Atlético de San Luis in the Quarterfinals of the Apertura 2023.

Monterrey found out this Thursday who their opponent will be when the Playoffs begin, after Atlético de San Luis defeated León 3-2 in the first Play-In match, the new reclassification phase of the Liga BBVA MX.

In the most recent match between the two teams, Rayados drew 1-1 with Atlético de San Luis in Matchday 1 of the Apertura 2023 played at Estadio Alfonso Lastras.

On that game, Rogelio Funes Mori scored the equalizer for Monterrey.

The last time the two teams played in the Final Phase, the result was a 2-2 draw in the playoff match of the Clausura 2022.

Rayados' goals were scored by Vincent Janssen and Michell Rodriguez.

On Monday, November 27, Liga BBVA MX will announce the dates and times for the Quarterfinal matches of the Apertura 2023.
