RAYADAS GOES WITH AUTHORITY TO THE SEMIFINALS!

Rayadas defeated Tijuana Femenil 6-3 in the second leg of the Quarterfinals of the Apertura 2023 Tournament... and now they're going for the Clásico Regio in the Semifinals!

After an 8-4 global win over Tijuana, Rayadas advanced to the Semifinals and will face Tigres Femenil in the second round of the Final Phase.

Monterrey started the match on the attack. A brace from Carlee Giammona, and four more goals from Samantha Simental, Nicole Peérez, Diana Evangelista and Jermaine Seoposenwe, gave Rayadas the lead.

Jermaine Seoposenwe had the first dangerous action, with a cross shot that went just wide of the Xolos Femenil goal at minute 2.

After an assist from Christina Burkenroad, Carlee Giammona shot inside the far post to open the scoring for Monterrey.

11' RAYADAS 2-0 TIJUANA FEMENIL | Samantha Simental
After a rebound by the Tijuana defense, Samantha Simental took advantage of the loose ball and fired a shot across goal to score the Rayadas' second of the match.

Joselyn de la Rosa came close to scoring at minute 29 after volleying a shot inside the box, but the ball sailed just wide of Pamela Tajonar's goal.

After a fantastic assist from Jermaine Seoposenwe, Nicole Pérez fired a shot to the far post for the third goal of the match, a great goal by "Nicky"!

With a cross-shot, Sanjuana Muñoz scored the goal to give the visitors the lead.

In the second half, Eva Espejo's team continued to lead and managed to increase the score.

Mayra Pelayo scored Tijuana's second goal with a powerful shot inside the box.

Jermaine Seoposenwe sent in a cross and Carlee Giammonascored Rayadas' fourth goal with a header.

After Samantha Simental was fouled inside the Rayadas' box at minute 58, the referee called a penalty kick for Tijuana Femenil.

However, Rayadas’ goalkeeper Pamela Tajonar stood in the goal and saved the penalty kick taken by Sanjuana Muñoz. Tijuana tried to score again on the rebound, but the Rayadas defense denied the danger.

Diana Evangelista returned in a big way after an injury and, with a powerful shot from outside the box, scored the Rayadas' fifth goal.

A low, placed shot was enough for Jermaine Seoposenwe to score Monterrey's sixth of the match.

77' RAYADAS 6-3 Tijuana Femenil | Mayra Pelayo
The Tijuana Femenil player scored her second goal of the match and the visitors' third.

With this score, Rayadas are in the Semifinals, where they will face Club Tigres at a date and time to be determined.
