Club de Futbol Monterrey and North Carolina FC, one of the most important clubs in the development of players in the USA and which will participate in the USL Championship, signed a training agreement.
The purpose of the agreement is to collaborate in the development of young players from both clubs through international competition, a talent detection system throughout the country and the projection of players selected through the Pro-Pathway between both institutions.
In addition, as part of the agreement, a best practices program will be created between both clubs for coaches and staff to travel to Monterrey and North Carolina to receive training.
It also seeks the opportunity for players from Rayados' Youth Academy to grow through an international development program with North Carolina FC.
This collaboration also benefits the Rayados Soccer Academies, as the most outstanding players will have the opportunity to be evaluated to be part of the Pro-Pathway with Rayados and NCFC.
José Antonio Noriega, sports president of Club de Futbol Monterrey, thanked North Carolina FC P for the agreement and stated that it will serve to develop talent in both institutions.
"At Rayados we are proud of our values and history, and today we are expanding throughout the United States. We want to develop the best human beings, and we also want to win as much as possible, and that's why we must make sure we have the best possible partners, and NCFC are the best in the area.
"We develop men and women to compete at the highest level, and we are sure that this agreement will help us do that in the best way possible," said "Tato" Noriega at the press conference to present the agreement, which took place this Friday at the WakeMed Soccer Park.
Nicolas Martellotto, the Club's Youth Academy Director, explained details of the agreement between the two clubs.
"The idea is to enhance the development system and the exchange of talent, as well as minutes of international matches for better sports training, and the transfer of knowledge in the sports area," said Martellotto.
Steve Malik, owner of North Carolina FC, said that the Club is excited to have reached a collaboration agreement with such an important institution as Club de Futbol Monterrey.
"It's part of our global strategy. We are looking for a long-term relationship to work on talent development, have international friendlies and work on developing growth strategies.
"We are excited to bring the best team in Liga BBVA MX and the No. 1 team in CONCACAF to be closer to our community," he said.
North Carolina FC has a partnership with NCFC Youth that has more than 16,000 players and more than 800 coaches within its program.
With this, NCFC joins HTX Soccer as a Club Partner of Club de Futbol Monterrey in the United States.
