Rayados de Monterrey tied 1-1 with Puebla at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc, in matchday 11 of the Torneo Apertura 2023.

An early goal complicated the match, but after adapting to Puebla's difficult field, the Rayados managed to equalize and even came close to taking the lead.

Brayan Angulo sent a delayed diagonal that Guillermo Martinez connected inside the box to open the score.

Two minutes later, Rogelio Funes Mori took a low, powerful shot from outside the area that the local goalkeeper managed to save.

At minute 15, Funes Mori tried again with a shot that went too wide.

Carlos Baltazar rattled the post of Esteban Andrada's goal with a low shot.

Jordi Cortizo sent in a cross from the right flank and Rogelio Funes Mori rose up in the box to head home Monterrey's tying goal.

Maxi Meza shot from long distance at minute 38 and goalkeeper Jesus Rodriguez denied him. Rogelio Funes Mori shot and again the goalkeeper deflected.

At minute 58, Jesus "Tecatito" Corona sent a pass and Rogelio Funes Mori sent the ball into the back of the net, but, after reviewing the VAR, the referee disallowed it for being offside.

Nine minutes before the end of regulation time, "Tecatito" tried a shot from a tight angle that passed close to Jesús Rodríguez's goal.

With this result, the Rayados de Monterrey have 14 points and remain in tenth place.

This Saturday 7 at 5:00 pm, Monterrey will host Bravos de Juarez at Estadio BBVA for Matchday 12.
