Rayados lost 3-0 in the 133rd edition of the Clasico Regio.

Rayados started matchday 9 by attacking and, despite having the clearest opportunities, it was the locals who finally scored and took the 3 points.

Omar Govea had the first dangerous action of the match at minute 5 with a great mid-range shot, but goalkeeper Nahuel Guzman deflected it for a corner kick. 

After a long throw-in by Sebastian Vegas at minute 13, Maxi Meza cut back to Diego Reyes and shot at goal, but again Nahuel deflected the ball for a corner. 

Minutes later, "Tecatito" Corona sent a cross that was connected by Luis Romo, but the local goalkeeper prevented the Rayados’ goal. 

Esteban Andrada made a great save from a cross by Sebastian Cordova and prevented Tigres' dangerous play at minute 26.

Sebastian Cordova sent in a cross that Andre-pierre Gignac headed in to open the score.

In the second half, Rayados tried to tie, but a penalty kick complicated the match. 

After a foul by Omar Govea on Sebastian Cordova inside the box, the referee awarded Tigres a penalty kick at minute 56.

Luis Quiñones sent a delayed diagonal that Lainez connected to score the third.

On Saturday 30, at 7:00 p.m., Rayados will host Santos at Estadio BBVA for matchday 10 of the Apertura 2023.
