Since Fernando Ortiz took over as Monterrey's technical director, the team from Cerro de la Silla has not lost a game and will be looking to keep up this trend and win a victory that will give them a place in the Round of 16.

The support of the Monterrey fans in the Salt Lake City and Seattle stadiums was fundamental for the team's motivation, so the presence of the Rayados fans in Portland will be a new motivation that will help the team to advance to the next round.
