Rayados will make their debut in the Leagues Cup this Wednesday, July 26 at 7:30 p.m., when they visit Real Salt Lake.

With this match, Monterrey begins its history in the international tournament, in its new edition, which will include the participation of 18 teams from Liga BBVA MX and 29 from the MLS.

Monterrey will face the Salt Lake City team for the second time, as in 2011 both teams faced each other in the 2010-2011 CONCACAF Champions League Final, where Monterrey won the championship.

In this new edition of the Leagues Cup, all teams are divided into groups of three. 

Each team will play two group matches and the two best teams will advance to the Round of 16. 

Each win will award three points, in the event of a tie each team will receive one point, and an extra point will be awarded in a penalty shootout. 

At the end of this tournament, the top three places will have a spot in the 2024 CONCACAF Champions League.

Monterrey arrived in Utah on Sunday and since then has been focused on its debut in the Leagues Cup and has received the support of the Rayados fans in the United States.
